The EU court rejected Hungary's attempt to block aid to Ukraine

The EU court rejected the lawsuit of the previous government of Hungary, which wanted to block aid to Ukraine from the frozen assets of the Russian Federation through the European Peace Fund.

They stated that this issue belongs to the sphere of the EU's foreign and security policy and is largely not subject to judicial review.

Let us add that in 2022-2024, the EU mobilized more than 6 billion euros through the European Peace Fund to support Ukraine. And in 2024, an additional fund of 5 billion euros was created.

The first deputy prosecutor general resigned from the prosecutor's office

First Deputy Prosecutor General Maria Vdovichenko resigned from her position and from the prosecutor's office.

This was reported in the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.

According to their data, Vdovichenko submitted an application for dismissal, after which the corresponding order was signed. Maria Vdovichenko held the position of first deputy prosecutor general and appears in the investigation of anti-corruption authorities.

A new solar power plant was launched at the Chornobyl NPP

A new solar power plant with a capacity of 2 MW was launched on the territory of the Chornobyl NPP. It will provide electricity to the station's critically important infrastructure.

This was reported to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.

It was noted there that own generation should make the Chornobyl NPP less dependent on external electricity supply, and it is also one of the necessary conditions for nuclear and radiation safety.

The total budget of the project was more than 825 thousand dollars. It was implemented with the support of the UN Development Program and the governments of Lithuania and Japan.

Mykhailo Fedorov announced the launch of the Defense Tech fund in Ukraine, which will invest in military startups and technology companies. Among the key directions, he named the robotics of the front, the development of jet interceptors and cheap strike missiles, in particular with the use of artificial intelligence.

According to him, meetings with potential donors, venture funds and large technology companies took place during the foreign trip. It was, in particular, about financing the further digital transformation of Ukraine, the development of artificial intelligence and the launch of new products.

"Park Chesti" will be set up in Khortytsia

About 15 million hryvnias are planned to be spent on the construction of "Chesti Park" on Khortytsia in Zaporizhzhia.

The reserve has already concluded a contract for the development of design and estimate documentation worth almost 600,000 hryvnias. In the memorial space, it is planned to install a ceiling, benches and trash cans, to arrange paths, lighting, video surveillance and water supply.

More than five million hryvnias have been allocated from the regional budget for the implementation of the project this year.
